Applications of choice

Email software – I highly recommend PolyMail which I have been using for a while now. Wonderful features such as delayed sending, templates and great stats on my use emailed weekly are all part of the joy of using PolyMail.

Affinity Photo

Photo Editing – it’s been great to see Adobe having high quality competition in the photo-editing/design market. I’ve been using Affinity Photo now since it came out and hardly ever open Photoshop. I still have it–and am paying the extortionate monthly fee for the pleasure, but not for too much longer. Affinity Photo costs a one off £48.99. That’s it. Bargain.

Document Storage - When a tool becomes so integrated in your workflow that you forget its there, it’s done its job. Dropbox has done its job. Best tool I’ve found for storing documents and synchronising on all devices. It’s not without it’s problems as sync has not been a seamless for a while now but it’s still the one to beat.

Finance Software – Wow! What can I say about Freeagent. I have been using it for more than seven years. I don’t know how I would run my businesses without it. It is designed to make the most arduous of accounting tasks easy.

Project Management - I’ve been an avid user of Basecamp from version 1. I moved away from it for a few years, but keep coming back. If you manage any projects, the simplicity of the interface, using to-do lists and automated notifications are just a few of the benefits.
